It all began with drawing, and it has been the root of my creative processes over the years, both in the fine and commissioned work. Because of drawing’s immediacy, it is where ideas evolve unencumbered by more time-consuming materials when studio time is limited, and ideas beg to be developed. These visual stories come through dreams one breath at a time, either developing as more complex drawings or morphing into paintings or mixed media projects.
